PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

ER.ROHIT PUJARI

DEPUTY CHIEF WHIP, GOVT.OF ODISHA

MLA RAIRAKHOL, SAMBALPUR

As a former Junior National player I have personally experienced the changes that the sport has gone through in Odisha. I can surely say that this is just the beginning of a long prosperous road to success for Odisha Badminton. OSBA will be an active participant to our Honourable Chief Minister, Sj. Naveen Pattnaik’s vision to make Odisha the sports capital of India. BAI has shown full confidence in us to carry the baton of development for quality badminton forward and the Sub-Junior Nationals hosted at Bhubaneswar in December 2019 was a step towards achieving it. Our goal is to make Odisha one of the  badminton forces to reckon with in the country.

HONY.SECRETARY'S MESSAGE

SHRI NILEEN KUMAR

HONY.SECRETARY

OSBA

Badminton in Odisha is gradually coming of age and talented players have already started performing at the National level. After the exceptional Late Shri Sanat Mishra, local girl Rutaparna Panda has been representing India and bringing laurels for the country & the state. With the SAI Regional Badminton Academy, which has honed the skills of the local players and the Gopichand High Performance Centre coming up at Bhubaneswar, an ecosystem is being developed by the Government to make Odisha a Badminton powerhouse in the coming years. OSBA has an ambitious development agenda ‘Vision 2020-24’ to develop the sport from grass root level and focus on all aspects of the sport in detail. Odisha was one of the first states to have been choosen by BAI to implement the BWF ShuttleTime program in India. OSBA believes that Odisha players will surely and steadily achieve more new milestones at National & International level in future and we are striving hard to make it possible in every way in partnership with Badminton Association of India, Sports & Youth Services Department, Govt. of Odisha and Khelo India.
